Ms. Mendez has over twenty years of experience coordinating executive-level meetings, conferences, seminars and management workshops, skills acquired while working at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington, D.C. She currently works independently, providing logistical planning, coordination and implementation of events for a variety of professional organizations, many of which comprise large and diverse populations. Fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese, she is equally effective handling national and international events, creating a forum for the exchange of information, ideas and services in a timely and cost effective manner.

Ms. Mendez holds an Event Management Certification from George Washington University and is continuing her professional education at American Management Association (AMA), Washington, D.C.

She is recognized for her efficiency and effectiveness in people management, problem solving, strategic planning, and customer satisfaction. As part of IDB's international team, she traveled to nineteen foreign countries to coordinate and manage the prestigious IDB Annual Meetings of the Board of Governors. During these efforts she demonstrated her outstanding professionalism, including an intuitive talent for diplomacy, tact and confidentiality.

During her impressive career, Ms. Mendez has managed all aspects of event management, from registration, preparation of proper identification, design and distribution of registration packages, data base management, facility logistics, and supervision of registration personnel to identification and resolution of any problems that might arise. She is equally effective working independently, as a team leader, or asset to a pre-existing team.

Ms. Mendez is an active member of the Network of Latino Meeting Professionals.
